Complimentary Estimate & First Fitting I will meet with you in the comfort and privacy of your own home or a location of your choosing to discuss your needs and offer a complimentary consultation and cost estimate for the work that needs to be completed as well as a time frame for completion. I can work with you on a "rush" basis, (anything less than 3 weeks) for an additional fee of $ 40.00. When you have accepted my estimate and agreed to the terms of contract, I will complete a first fitting at this same meeting. It is necessary for you to have the shoes and undergarments that you plan to wear with your dress at this first fitting. If you prefer not to do a first fitting at this meeting time, I will be happy to reschedule with you, but there will be a first fitting fee of $ 20.00. Subsequent Fittings & Cancellations There will be no additional charges for subsequent fittings. Typically only one or two more fittings is required but depending on the amount and type of work to be done, additional fittings may be necessary. I will schedule a second fitting appointment with you during your first consultation. I do require 24 hours notice for cancellations and a cancellation fee of $20.00 will be strictly assessed if less or no notice is given. Payments Payment in full, for all work, is due at or before your final fitting and delivery date. In addition, if your project requires the purchase of materials for completion, I do require a down payment in the amount of the anticipated cost of materials. I accept cash and personal checks and I am able to accept credit card payments via E-mail invoicing through "Pay Pal" secure credit card services. If you wish to use a credit card for payment, I must be notified at least 24 hours prior to your delivery date and there will be a handling fee of 5% of the total bill for this service. I am happy to accept partial payments throughout the work process. All labor and materials are taxable in Idaho and Washington states. There is no tax for Montana residents. I am required by law to collect and report sales tax. Since the tax amount is based upon the final total of the bill, your estimate will not reflect the sales tax amount. This will be added to your final bill. A word regarding Estimates An estimate is "just that". An estimate of the time involved to complete a project, the materials required to complete the project and an idea of the cost required. While I strive to provide an accurate estimate, there are sometimes unexpected variables that may cause that estimate to be higher than anticipated. My policy is to estimate on the higher end, thereby offering you a "price cushion", but there are times when due to things beyond my control, I simply must charge more than I expected. Some examples of these might be: the cost of special order fabric or lace was much higher than anticipated or perhaps the amount of "hidden" work for an alteration or re-model proved to be much more than it appeared on the surface. I will always notify you in advance of any variation to your estimate in excess of $20.00 and try to offer an alternative way to keep the cost lower if possible. Cancellation of your Job Order Since I work under deadline, I typically begin working on your project immediately. I understand when something arises and you need to cancel, but I must be paid for the amount of time I have invested in your project. Therefore, I will bill for any work that is completed up until the time you cancelled with me. Request for additional work after Estimate I am happy to provide additional work on your project after my first estimate is complete, but the cost for this additional request will not be reflected on the original agreement. I will make a notation on my copy of your agreement on the day you make the request, and I will offer you an additional verbal estimate. By signing your Job Estimate form, you are agreeing to pay for any additional work requested by you, whether reflected on the original estimate or not. My Pledge to You I understand how important your event is to you and to your loved ones. These are very special garments that I am working with, and the value is priceless. I promise to work as quickly as possible but will not sacrifice quality to save time. I work in a clean and organized environment and use only high quality materials, supplies and professional tools. I am covered by insurance for your peace of mind. |
